Local community fitness instructor, Lisa Hillier, was nominated for an award back in May 2019. The event was for the National Community Fitness Awards which is an annual event held in Newcastle in recognition of instructors, fitness brands and fitness suppliers in the industry. Lisa was then shortlisted as a finalist in the Female Presenter of the Year category and was invited to attend the awards ceremony on the 9th November.
Lisa was up against other experienced presenters who work for well known fitness brands and she was completely shocked when they announced her name as the winner! Lisa won this title alongside Ian Waite (Strictly Come Dancing) who claimed the Male Presenter of the Year award.
Lisa is a fitness presenter, choreographer and also runs her own business teaching fitness classes in Biggleswade and surrounding areas. Lisa has been running her fitness business for eight years teaching classes in the community such as Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, Fitness Pilates and Glow Beatz.
