Two arrested in connection with Bedford stabbing

Two teenagers have been arrested in connection with a stabbing in Bedford in the early hours of of Monday, August 31.

The incident happened at around 3.20am when police were called to reports that a man had been stabbed after an attack at the rear of Foster Street.

A man in his 20s suffered two stab wounds to his leg and was treated in hospital. His injuries are not life threatening.

Two 19-year-old men have been arrested in connection with this incident, and have been released on police bail.

Detective Constable Luke Williams, from the Bedfordshire Police Crime Investigation Team, said: “We will not tolerate any kind of knife crime and we do all we can to tackle those who use weapons to cause fear or harm to others. 

“I would like to appeal to anyone who has any information that could assist our investigation to get in touch.”
