Youth in court charged with murder of 17-year-old

A 16-year-old boy has been charged today with murder after another teenager was stabbed in Milton Keynes on Saturday evening.

The boy, who cannot be named for legal reasons, was charged on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, with one count of murder, one count of possession of a bladed article and one count of theft.

The charges are in connection with an incident on Saturday, November 7, in which a teenager was stabbed in Tyburn Avenue.

He was formally identified today as Lewis Wenman, aged 17.

Specially trained officers are supporting his next of kin at this difficult time.

A post mortem has taken place and has given the cause of death as a stab wound to the chest.

The boy who has been charged in connection with this investigation appeared at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court today.
