Witness appeal following collision in Sandy High Street

Bedfordshire Police are appealing for information following a road traffic collision in Sandy which left a pedestrian seriously injured. 

On Tuesday, April 13, at around 3pm, a silver Ford Fiesta and a pedestrian collided at a zebra crossing in High Street.

The road was closed whilst emergency services dealt with the incident, and reopened shortly before 7.30pm.

The pedestrian, a man in his 30s, was taken to hospital with serious injuries, which are not believed to be life threatening.

PC Tom Williams, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are working to establish the circumstances of this incident and would like hear from anyone who witnessed the collision, or who saw the vehicle prior to the incident, or who was in the area around this time and has dashcam footage.”
