Image released of man the police wish to interview in rape investigation

Police have released a CCTV image of a man they would like to speak to as part of an investigation into a report of rape.

Officers from Bedfordshire Police have been following up several lines of enquiry into a report that a woman was raped in Bedford on Saturday, May 7, 2022.

Detective Constable Annie Rickard, who is leading the investigation, said: “We are keen to speak to this man as we believe he may have some vital information which can help us with our enquiries.

“We are working to support the victim who bravely came forward to report what had happened, and we are doing everything we can to ensure the offender is brought to justice.

“If you recognise this man, or have any information about the incident, please get in touch with us.”
