On a day when the Waders should have taken control of the division by defeating a Bedford Town side seriously out of form, the visitors certainly put pay to those thoughts.
On a sunny Bank Holiday afternoon, a large crowd anticipated a thrilling skillful match with perhaps the majority being from the Eagles side of the county, it was their pleasure that was quenched as the visitors took up the baton and attacked from the off.
The early stages was all Bedford with the league leaders hiding in their shells with only the occasional sortie up field.
Bedford took the lead on 40 following a corner as the ball was fumbled and Leon Lobjolt was on hand to give the visitors the lead.

Back after the break, the Waders set about righting the wrong of the first half but a very experienced Bedford side frustrated Biggleswade at every turn.
Certainly it was more positive from the home side with Draper, Hoenes and Lacey all pushing forward but it still lacked that “Oooomph” as Bedford knew how to run the clock down with the match ending 0-1.
